New York Native Rapper Tony Slippaz was born May 9th, 1983 in Flushing Queens Hospital. This day holds much importance in his life, let alone his career. This is the day he was born addicted, addicted to achieving goals he has set in his mind. With an obsessive work ethic and addiction to continuously making himself better, ultimately putting him where he is today. Coming from a troubled home, growing up in foster care, being adopted, and going in out of jail , state and federally Slippaz always found the outlet for his emotions with a pen. Whether it was poetically or musically, writing is something that always kept him at peace. Löpçük Fanzine (Istanbul): We’ve been seeing you back on stage lately, and it’s great! It seems the arrival of summer has kicked off a season of wild events; your “Gathering of the Juggalos” performance as part of the Hog Daddys Reunion sounds absolutely killer! I believe you’re also gearing up for Gorefest in October. How does it feel to be back on stage?
Tony Slippaz: Absolutely love it, it a high I think all artist live for !
What have you been up to over the past few months? You released the ‘Savage Brothers’ EP—which I consider very special—in May, followed by ‘Button Man 2’ around June. We’d love to hear a bit about how the studio process went and whether you’re happy with the recordings.
I love the recording and all I’ve been doing is working on music, ‘Savage Brothers’ was fun that was recorded in Milwaukee and ‘Button Man 2’ I recorded myself in Myrtle Beach !
As you have mentioned on various podcasts, we are living through strange times for the music industry and the world of arts & culture. On one hand, access to music has become incredibly easy thanks to digital platforms; on the other, some musicians complain that—due to their presence on social media—they are perceived merely as digital content creators, and that their hard work and artistry are being exploited to serve platforms like Spotify, which are backed by capital from AI-driven arms manufacturers. Where do you position yourself in these debates?

How do you view the shift from purchasing and listening to physical copies of works to renting them via online music services, particularly when considering the profile of the discerning listener?
I always prefer the hand to hand. I love selling CDs at shows to real fans who appreciate the craft still !

Turning to the EPs you’ve released recently: You practically stunned your fans by releasing two explosive EPs ‘Savage Brothers’ and ‘Button Man 2’ just a few weeks apart. What do you attribute this level of productivity to?
Man, I be just working my ass off so much, more work is waiting to come out only if others worked this fast !
With Savage Brothers, we hear a seriously brutal sound influenced by Diablo, whereas in Button Man 2, it seems like you’ve maintained the SLIPPAZ style we’re more familiar with; am I mistaken?
Nah I def picked up the vibe of Milwaukee and went a little hardcore on Savage Brothers to keep up with the hardcore legend Danny Diablo.
What was your intention behind continuing the Button Man narrative? It must have held some significance for you, was there something left unfinished in the initial release?
Every artist had a name and some gimmick, honestly the fans made it grow to what it is !
Aside from that, if we were to ask you to touch upon the differences in content between the two EPs, what would you say?

You’ll appreciate that it’s not really possible for me to fully grasp the lyrics while listening, but we’d appreciate it if you could at least summarize them for us. I hope I’m not asking too much!
Keep Dying: As an insomniac I think anyone can relate.
I’m a Savage: This single kicked it off, so imma savage as savage brothers.
Prepare to Die: I actually had another name for this song but I wrote this specially to fit Diablo’s style (Prayers to Odin was my song name!)
Babylon: This was the last joint we did, we had fun.
I am particularly curious about the meaning of ‘Keyboard Warrior’. I suppose it’s for those who act tough behind a keyboard but, in reality, don’t have much going for them.
Yes sir, you got that !!! First does protect your freedom of speech but doesn’t protect you from getting punched in the cheek.
I’d also like to talk a bit about SlippazVizion; We know that you work in media alongside your music career, having collaborated with legends like Insane Poetry, Skam Dust, and Danny Diablo. Your work is incredibly high-paced and energetic—something one might not expect given your calm demeanor. Could you tell us a little about the Slippaz behind the camera?
I’ve always had a eye for it, so I ventured out and spent some serious money did a few and felt it almost was putting a shadow into me as an artist and stopped.
How do you work as a team, and what kind of conceptual preparations do you make before a shoot? We’d appreciate it if you could touch on that briefly.
It really just all off the wind ! No plans usually for videos, I shot myself on other hand I draw out a whole movie.
How do you feel about cinema? What kind of things do you watch?
I watch anything that’s good ! Eye catching. I’m a fan of a lot of Mob Movies obviously, I like older movies more of a fan of acting then graphics.
