Son Fersah, İstanbullu bir rock grubu. Ada Müzik’ten çıkan 5 şarkılık ilk EP’leri grubun adını taşıyor. Ülkenin sert müzik tarihine biraz hâkim olanlar Radical Noise’u hatırlarlar. O grubun gitaristi olan Ersin Çağlayan, Radical Noise sonrası Joke for a While, Shiva gibi başka gruplarla birtakım denemeler yapmış ve her ikisiyle de emo, punk rock, alternatif rock, nu-metal soundlarına aşina kulaklara iyi gelecek işlere imza atmıştı. Şimdi sırada Son Fersah var. Ersin burada gitarist ve vokalist. Grubun geri kalanı Kaan Sağ (Gitarist), Can Temiz (Bass), Abbetant Engin’den (davulcu) oluşuyor. Ve Ersin, prozodi tırmalamalarına fazla girmeden Türkçe Punk Rock işini kotarmayı başarmış. Açıkçası bu şarkıları İngilizce sözlerle İngiltere ya da Amerika’da yapsalar Son Fersah’ı Vans Warped Tour gibi turnelerde ya da Groezrock, Slam Dunk gibi festivallerde izliyor olurduk. Son Fersah is an Istanbul-based rock band. Their first EP, released by Ada Music, features five tracks and bears the band’s name. Those familiar with the country’s hard music scene will remember Radical Noise. Ersin Çağlayan, the guitarist of that band, experimented with other groups like Joke for a While and Shiva after Radical Noise, producing work that would appeal to ears accustomed to emo, punk rock, alternative rock, and nu-metal sounds. Now it’s Son Fersah’s turn. Ersin is the guitarist and vocalist here. The rest of the band consists of Kaan Sağ (guitarist), Abbetant Engin (drummer), and Can Temiz (bassist). And Ersin has managed to pull off Turkish punk rock without getting too caught up in prosody. Frankly, if they had done these songs with English lyrics in England or America, we would be seeing Son Fersah on tours like the Vans Warped Tour or at festivals like Groezrock and Slam Dunk. Son Fersah was formed in Kadıköy in 2013 by Ersin Çağlayan (Guitar, Vocals) and Kaan Sağ (Guitar). The duo’s history dates back to the vibrant rock scene of 1990s Istanbul. This era was a period of new exploration, where genres beyond classic metal, such as Hardcore, Nu- Metal, Grunge, Rap, Groove Metal, and Crossover, took center stage. Following a period of inactivity due to lineup changes, Son Fersah became active again with the addition of Can Temiz (bass guitar) and Aberrant Engin (drums). This duo, with their experience and recognition in the music scene, served as a catalyst in elevating the band to a new level and were instrumental in the preparation of their new 10-song album. The band started recording in 2023 and has completed all recordings in 2024-2025, preparing to share their new compositions with their audience.
